My List of {SysAdmin | Programmer | Help Desk | Support | Techie} Rules

1. Don't assume. Don't assume that it works, that they did it right, or that the users will figure it out. Don't assume that a {vendor | programmer | developer | co-worker | boss | whoever else} can do their job.
2. If you ever find yourself saying "they couldn't have done that, they'd have to be morons."... they did and they are.
3. When you find something that isn't documented, it's the ghost of that one little thing that you didn't document, come back to haunt you.
